SALINAS, CA - Showing the resilience our produce industry is known for, Taylor Farms has already announced restoration plans following a recent structure fire. As AndNowUKnow reported, on April 13, 2022, a fire significantly damaged the company’s California Foodservice production facility in Salinas, California, and now the purveyor is navigating the aftermath and rebuilding process.

“We are grateful that our Yuma, Arizona, facility remains fully operational and the specialized equipment we use to produce fresh, healthy, and safe products are running at full capacity,” said Rachel Molatore, Director of Communications, in a statement to ANUK. “We are also thankful for the operating network our company has built over the last 27 years, encompassing over 22,000 employees and 20 facilities across North America, which has been specifically designed to be flexible and reliable.”

Currently, the Taylor Farms team has already begun the process of moving into available space in Salinas, as well as preparing its other facilities to support the needs of the company’s foodservice customers.

Taylor Farms also announced it has already cleared permitting hurdles to begin the rebuilding process.

“With the support and help of our employees, our larger community in Salinas, our customer partners, and our good fortune of having equipment on order for other projects that will be re-deployed to our Salinas operation, we feel confident we can build this facility back up to be the most modern automated salad processing plant in record time,” added Molatore.
