US Foods Expands Services to Visalia, California
ROSEMONT, IL - Alongside its work with supporting food-insecure communities and aid to the foodservice industry with its Fall Scoop™ launch, US Foods is channeling growth for its own operations. The foodservice distributor is continuing to grow its distribution network with an expansion of its physical footprint, entering a new market with its first Visalia, California, location.
According to The Business Journal, a tenant improvement permit has been secured for a US Foods Chef’s Store at 4236 S. Mooney Blvd. in Visalia. Located in the Packwood Creek shopping center, the new 30,000-square-foot space is listed as coming soon.
Already, US Foods has 21 Chef’s Store locations in California. With the Modesto, California, location as the closest to Visalia, the company’s Chef’s Store supply warehouse provides food and kitchen supply options that cater to the foodservice industry on a wholesale basis.
The distributor currently has more than 80 Chef's Store locations in the United States and serves approximately 300,000 restaurants and foodservice operators across the country. As of January, the company reported employing 26,000 associates across the U.S., according to its 2020 annual report, where it reported net sales of $22.88 billion.
