Costco Highlights Sales Boost in July Results Report
ISSAQUAH, WA - July must have been a busy time for Costco Wholesale Corporation. The company recently reported its sales results for the month, detailing an impressive boost that is sure to drive Costco’s success as it vies for market share for the remainder of 2021.
Costco’s July results include net sales of $15.21 billion, which is an increase of 16.6 percent from the $13.04 billion net sales it reported in July of last year. This metric covers the four weeks that ended August 1.
According to the official report, Costco also saw significant gains for the 48 weeks that ended August 1. The retailer reported net sales of $176.30 billion, which is an increase of 17.8 percent from the net sales of $149.66 billion that it recorded in 2020.
Costco currently operates 813 warehouses, laying its claim to real estate in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Japan, the United Kingdom, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Spain, Iceland, France, and China.
With a more than $2 billion increase in its four-week July net sales and a nearly $150 billion gain in its 48-week net sales compared to 2020’s reports, can we expect even greater sales boosts as we kick off the latter half of 2021?
