Hy-Vee Offers Online Ordering Through Mealtime To Go
WEST DES MOINES, IA - The name of the game these days is to be efficient and nutritious—especially in the fresh produce industry. On the buy-side, this has led many retailers to implement a variety of programs focused on ensuring shoppers have quick access to all of their grocery and meal prep needs. Hy-Vee is one of many in this group, mimicking the fast casual foodservice format to roll out its new Mealtime To Go program.
Mealtime To Go allows shoppers to order curbside meals-to-go online. According to a press release, these hot, prepared foods and take-and-bake meals include a multitude of selections like Asian, Hickory House, sandwiches, breakfast, sushi, and more. Some meals even come with a side option included.
Hy-Vee’s latest program is launching at more than 200 stores and, upon ordering, can be as ready in as little as 30 minutes for free pick up. Shoppers can order their meals online or via the retailer’s Aisles Online app. Upon arrival, employees deliver food orders directly to customers’ vehicles.
