ADS Management and Les Fermes Michel Riendeau Announce Joint Venture
CANADA – ADS Management and Les Fermes Michel Riendeau (MR Farms) are kicking off the new year by entering into a joint venture, effective January 1, 2018. Continuing operations in its Quebec facilities, MR Farms will be joining the ADS family of produce companies, including Hapco Farms, Freshouse, and Ampco Distribution Services.
“Both companies share the same business philosophy, getting the best product at the best price. With us working together, our customers will only benefit,” said Andy Pollak, President and CEO of ADS Management, in a press release.
This joint venture enables both companies to expand their product and service offerings to their customers. With this new venture, ADS will grow its farm acreage as well as strengthen its presence in Canada and Mexico, while MR Farms will increase its buying power. Both companies will also be able to open up new product lines and draw in more customers.
“We have been working together for a long time, and we are excited to officially partner on expanding the business and bringing our customers additional products and services,” said Dominic Riendeau, MR Farms.
Along with adding acreage to fields specializing in Canadian vegetables, the partnership will also yield overnight services provided to the Northeast as well as service to the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
