Coborn’s to Acquire Two Kessler’s Grocery Stores
ST. CLOUD, MN - Coborn’s is expanding again, with WJON reporting two upcoming locations.
The retail chain has signed a purchase agreement to bring two South Dakota locations under its umbrella: Kessler’s Food and Grocery in Aberdeen and Kessler’s Food and Fuel in Miller. Both have long been locally operated and family-owned, but Coborn’s says the stores will continue using the Kessler’s name.

Roughly 250 employees currently working at the stores will stay on board, according to the company. The sale is expected to close in early April.
When their Plymouth Market & Table location opens in 2026, Coborn’s will officially hit 80 grocery locations across six states.
More movement like this could be coming, so be sure to check in with ANUK for the latest updates.
