MIAMI, FL - New additions to the industry are always exciting, especially when the new hire aligns so well with a company’s values. This is the case for Continental Fresh, which recently welcomed Alejandro Guerrero to the team as a Sales Representative.

“I’ve known Albert for a long time through the mission trips that he leads, and I love the message that the company stands for,” Alejandro shared with me, detailing how his journey to Continental Fresh came to be. “I knew I wanted to do something in international business, so I thought this was a great fit for me.”

Albert Perez, Chief Executive Officer and Grower Relations, commented on how Alejandro fits into the team dynamic.

“We hire on values more than anything else,” he explained. “When Alejandro was 16, he came with us on a project to the Dominican Republic, and even then he showed a tremendous amount of leadership. Most importantly, he showed empathy and an understanding of doing right by his work.”

When Alejandro stepped into his role, he quickly took to produce. He’s already traveled to Mexico to visit mango growers and has upcoming travel scheduled to Honduras to meet with cucumber and squash growers.

“I’m really excited for the Mexican mango season we have coming up,” Alejandro said when we hopped on a phone call. “Honestly, I’m excited for all of it. I don’t have a background in produce, so every day I’m learning something new, and I’ve already started to build relationships.”
