Dole Food Company Announces New President for Dole Fresh Vegetables Timothy Escamilla
CHARLOTTE, NC - Great change comes from the top and great leadership executes it—just ask Dole Food Company, which recently revealed the promotion of Timothy Escamilla to President of Dole Fresh Vegetables.
“Having grown up in the Salinas Valley, I always admired Dole Fresh Vegetables and the innovation/business, and I was humbled when asked by the CEO of Dole Food Company, Johan Linden, to accept the position of President of Dole Fresh Vegetables,” Escamilla stated. “I am energized to continue that legacy but, more importantly, excited to further improve the business on behalf of our customers, shareholders, grower partners, and most valued employees. I believe Dole Fresh Vegetables is positioned for phenomenal growth, and leveraging the strength of the Dole brand to remain the premier provider of Value-Added Fresh Foods will continue to be our goal.”
In Escamilla’s new role as division President, he will be tasked with tapping his more than 25 years of senior-level agricultural industry and operations experience at Dole and other produce organizations to evolve the segment. With more than two decades under his belt, he will help to develop and implement a forward-looking strategic plan for sustainable growth and create a shared vision and culture for continued financial success, according to a press release.
Escamilla will be taking over for Michael Solomon who has, during his tenure, been essential in retooling the operational foundation and performance of Dole Fresh Vegetables, in addition to building a coveted leadership team. Soloman has also been instrumental in providing a path for smooth succession.
