IFCO Welcomes New Plastic Pallet, Dora
MUNICH, GERMANY - IFCO is introducing the industry to the newest addition to its company, Dora, its plastic pallet. Lightweight and strong, this offering is set to be a game changer for the global fresh grocery supply chain, saving time, space, and resources.
“At the weigh-in, Dora comes in at 18kg, around 25 percent lighter than standard wooden pallets. So, she’s also much lighter on transport costs. With dynamic loads up to 1,250kg, Dora easily power cleans every lift,” IFCO said in a post. “Trained to handle all kinds of crates and containers, she’ll be setting records when loaded up with IFCO reusable packaging containers (RPCs)— whatever fresh products you want protecting. Because they’re exactly the kind of weights she loves to lift.”
Dora makes light work of lifting, stacking, and protecting fresh produce in transit and beyond, the company added. The plastic pallet is also reusable, fitting seamlessly into its customers’ fresh grocery supply chains. As Dora is pooled by IFCO, its partners automatically get access to IFCO’s and pallet services.
Some other key benefits include:
- Light, durable, hygienic, and sustainable
- Reusable many times more than wooden pallets, infinitely 100 percent recyclable
- Purpose-built for IFCO RPCs, but plays nicely with all kinds of packaged goods
- Standardized pallet footprint makes Dora perfect for automation
- Digitally enabled, making the IFCO SmartCycle even smarter
- Pooled by IFCO, ensuring superior pallet services
