JACKSONVILLE, FL - In recognition of American Heart Month, Southeastern Grocers, LLC (SEG), parent company and home of Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores, proudly announces a donation of $130,000 to the American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health, in support of its Life is Why™ campaign.

Throughout the three-week community donation program, SEG and its generous associates and customers contributed to funding groundbreaking research, critical survivor support services and essential prevention programs aimed at reducing the risks of heart disease and stroke. By donating $1, $5 or rounding up their grocery bills at checkout, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie customers demonstrated the true power of community, proving every small act of kindness can help save lives.
