UNITED STATES - When Whole Foods Market announces its Annual Supplier Awards, I know the industry takes notice. This year’s awards recognized 30 suppliers that exemplify the retailer’s mission and core values. Driscoll’s took home one of the only awards handed out to a member of the produce industry: a Raising the Bar for Quality award.

To learn about the impact of this award for Driscoll’s, I spoke to Casey Rose, Senior Director of Sales.

“Whole Foods is a solid business partner of ours. Everything we do at Driscoll’s is in alignment with our mission to continually delight berry consumers, and the way that we do that is through alignment with our customers and berry growers,” he shared with me. “The fact that the hard work we put into our product to make sure it meets the delight of the consumer aligned with Whole Foods’ own mission is such an awesome win for us.”

This is the tenth-annual Supplier of the Year Awards, and it marks Whole Foods’ continued dedication to find suppliers that highlight both innovation and quality.

“We’re super proud of the award, and we’ve passed it along internally to our Quality Assurance teams and our growers. Humility is one of our values at Driscoll’s, but it’s really cool to get this acknowledgement in the berry category—an admittedly tough category to manage,” continued Casey.
