Pamela Anderson Pushes Produce with New Vegan Restaurant Announcement
RAMATUELLE, FR - Sexy, sensual, glamorous, and vegan—these are all words that Pamela Anderson has used to describe her new take on a produce-focused restaurant that she’s planning to open in the South of France. In June, the Baywatch star and model-turned-vegan entrepreneur announced plans to open La table du Marche by Pamela, a pop-up restaurant in partnership with French chef Christophe Leroy that will serve mainly fruits and vegetables.
According to the restaurant’s reservation page, La table du Marche will offer such produce-forward dishes as a tomato tartar with goji berries, a pizza-like tart that features onions and olives, asparagus risotto, and an eggplant tian with candied tomatoes, among other options. The average price for the three-course dinner will be €80, or USD $90.
But alas for those who found their veggie-hungry mouths watering at these unique menu offerings. The restaurant will only be open for 50 days, starting today, and only be open from 6 p.m. in the evening.
This actually isn’t the first time Pamela Anderson has made the news for using her famous face to promote vegan eating. The longtime animal rights activist took her vegan philosophies to the Arizona prison system, hand-dishing these fruit and veggie laden meals to a crowd of inmates.
Will the always lovely Pamela Anderson help push forward the produce agenda by popularizing vegan eating? Time will tell, but in the meantime, she certainly has us buzzing.
