Wish Farms Expands Operation to Oxnard, California
PLANT CITY, FL - California’s berry market is about to witness a boost thanks to Wish Farms. The international grower and year-round marketer is continuing to expand its operations as it recently established a growing operation in Oxnard, California.
“This is a move that aligns well with our strategy of smart, controlled growth,” said James Peterson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
With its first season in Oxnard underway, Wish Farms began harvesting strawberries in mid-January and expects berry volume to flow into May.
“The Frontera will be our exclusive variety for Oxnard,” Darwin Reich, Director of California Operations, stated. “Quality and volume [have] proven favorable and in line with our expectations.”
According to the release, the strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry grower now has operations in three major strawberry-growing regions of California. In addition to Oxnard, Wish Farms is operating out of Salinas and Santa Maria.
“By expanding our footprint to this third region, it solidifies our position as a California grower, streamlines supply, and opens the door for a more consistent brand presence west of the Mississippi,” explained Peterson.
