Ark Foods to Spotlight Shishito Peppers and Vegetable Portfolio at the Foodservice Conference; Noah Robbins Shares
IMMOKALEE, FL - Are your bags packed for Monterey, California? The International Fresh Produce Association’s Foodservice Conference is just days away, and Ark Foods is showcasing the magic of vegetables with its impressive portfolio.
“Vegetables and, more importantly, the art of farming, is at our core,” shared Noah Robbins, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ark Foods. “For us, it always starts with the vegetable. They’re the product of a fascinating process and the starting ingredient for a million new ones. Chefs were our original audience, and they continue to be top of mind as we plant, innovate, and learn.”
The East Coast grower will be showing off its wide range of specialty veggies, available for wholesale purchase. The spotlight will be on the brand’s Shishito Peppers, Long Hots, Cubanelles, Red Fresnos, Jalapeños, and Poblanos, as well as its Mini Heirloom Tomato medley.
“We started this company with a single vegetable, the Shishito Pepper,” said Robbins. “Now, we’re a predominant domestic grower of many different chili peppers, continuously working to add products that celebrate the magic of vegetables.”
In addition to its peppers and tomatoes, Ark Foods is also encouraging chefs to consider its personal-sized Honeynut Squash as they begin to plan their fall menus. According to a press release, this offering boasts a notably sweeter flavor than a Butternut Squash and contains high amounts of beta-carotene, a natural antioxidant. When cooked whole, the skin of a Honeynut is edible, delivering a kitchen-friendly, waste-reducing solution for fall menus.
