BrightFarm’s distribution most recently surpassed 2,000 stores, bringing its total store count to 2,009. In 2020 alone, a press release explained, BrightFarms has added more than 800 stores—a record surge in demand that has placed its year-over-year-growth by 40 percent in the last month. Say what?!

The leafy greens producer expects to continue this expansion into hundreds of new stores in its third quarter. Not only has its expansion been driven by successful partnerships with Ahold, Kroger, and Walmart, BrightFarms also opened its largest greenhouse to date in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, to support strong demand from Ahold in the Northeast.
