California Giant Berry Farms Names Jay Brown Chief Financial Officer and Alan Ediger as Vice President of Sales
WATSONVILLE, CA - It seems all we’re writing about lately is team growth, and the ANUK office couldn’t be happier about it. Most recently, California Giant Berry Farms added to its executive team, welcoming Jay Brown as Chief Financial Officer and Alan Ediger as Vice President of Sales.
In his new role as CFO, Brown brings over 20 years of experience. He will be directly responsible for the management of the accounting and IT departments. His previous position was with Church Brothers Farms/True Leaf Holdings as Chief Financial Officer and Partner. Throughout his career, Brown has led financial and accounting functions for sixteen different companies, including a grower-shipper, a processor of tender leaf and fresh cut salads, a harvesting company, and several farming operations.
“Jay has detailed knowledge as a CFO with family-owned produce companies. His experience of building businesses from the ground up and managing the accounting and financial functions of multiple company entities fits well with our company culture. We are pleased to have Jay be part of our team,” remarked Joe Barsi, President.
As Vice President of Sales, Ediger brings over 25 years of experience in the produce industry. He most recently held the position of Vice President of Sales for the Deli Division of Taylor Farms. Prior to that, he served as Earthbound Farms’ Chief Commercial Officer. Ediger has experience across a variety of commercial functions, including sales, marketing, research and development (R&D), innovation, customer service, and demand planning.

Barsi added, “We are fortunate to have Alan leading our sales team. His experience with developing business and strengthening relationships with the top retail and foodservice customers in North America, along with category management and business analyst know-how will prove vital as we continue to grow our berry supply and become more strategic with our key customers.”
