BOONE, IA - The impact that good leaders can make on an organization is invaluable, and retailer Fareway knows it. In a recent move to spur growth, the company announced the promotion of some of the priceless leaders within its executive team. Among them are Garrett S. Piklapp, who will now be President; Michael J. McCormick, the new Chief Retail Officer; and Jacob W. Moran, who will take over as Chief Financial Officer.

Piklapp and McCormick will assume their new roles effective immediately, according to a press release, while Moran will take over his new role effective October 31, 2021.

“Garrett and Mike have been important members of our leadership team for many years, and we are excited to have Jake join this team,” said Reynolds W. Cramer, Chief Executive Officer. “They each bring specialized skills to help lead, support, and execute our strategy with our officer team, department leaders, and retail employees. Since becoming CEO nearly eight years ago, I’ve been dedicated to the growth and experience of our teams at all levels. Today’s announcement gives me great satisfaction in seeing this plan achieve another milestone. There is much to be excited about at Fareway, and I’m grateful to have this team assist me in leading our Fareway Family into the future.”

As these new leaders step up to man the helm of their respective divisions, Craig A. Shepley, current Chief Financial Officer, will be retiring after 36 years with Fareway.
