Lipman Family Farms Triples 75th Anniversary Donation Goal; Elyse Lipman Details
IMMOKALEE, FL - Set an ambitious goal, and Lipman Family Farms will triple it. This was proven as the grower closed out the year-long celebration of its 75th anniversary with an impactful initiative, donating 260,455 meals to families in need. With a goal of donating 75,000 meals, Lipman’s powerful team tripled its initial objective in just five weeks.
“Our company’s success over its 75-year tenure has always been due to people: our employees, our customers, and the communities we work with. We’re continuously inspired to be Good from the Ground Up by providing healthy and safe produce that is accessible to all,” shared Elyse Lipman, Chief Executive Officer, Lipman Family Farms. “Our community champions and dedicated office managers play a pivotal role in bringing our community initiatives to life. Their hard work and passion for philanthropy exemplify our commitment to our community partnerships.”
Each Lipman Family Farms location played an integral part in the event, a press release explained, donating produce, prepared meals, or time to directly benefit families in need. The meals were donated through 27 community partnerships, including Manna Food Bank in Asheville, North Carolina; Inspired Vision Food Bank in Dallas, Texas; the Community Cooperative Soup Kitchen in Fort Myers, Florida; the Immokalee Friendship House homeless shelter in Immokalee, Florida; and the Food Bank of the Eastern Shore in Virginia.
As a press release explained, 260,455 meals is more than three times the initial goal of 75,000 meals set by Lipman Family Farms. The total donation equates to feeding 52,000 families across 21 states and three countries.
“Our employees continue to demonstrate that remarkable things happen when we unite for a common cause,” added Lipman proudly.
Lipman Family Farms has been dedicated to supporting its community since the company was founded, with charitable efforts driven by three pillars: children, education, and hunger relief. The grower plans to continue the momentum with its annual Day of Good next week, where 20 separate community volunteer projects have been planned throughout the company’s many locations.
