HOUSTON, TX - Getting your products into the hands of consumers is one of the hardest things to do, but MountainKing has a plan up its sleeve. The purveyor of potato varieties is working on activating several digital marketing campaigns in the first quarter of 2024, all of which are aimed at driving engagement. One of the main strategies the company is employing is through user-generated content and contest campaigns.

For instance, throughout the first quarter of 2024, MountainKing will invite consumers to share potato recipes and favorite memories of enjoying potatoes through monthly contests on Facebook and Instagram. Prizes will be awarded for the best entries.

According to a press release, Facebook and Instagram campaigns will encourage users to kickstart the new year by sharing their favorite healthy and unique potato recipes. In February, consumers can celebrate their affection for potatoes by writing a short love letter or appreciation note dedicated to their favorite potato dish or variety. In March, Facebook and Instagram posts from MountainKing will encourage potato lovers to share their culinary creativity by commenting on their favorite cooking hacks and tips.

Alongside the contests, MountainKing will roll out Facebook and Instagram ads promoting availability of its Butter Cream, Butter Red, and Baby potatoes at chain store partners across several key regions. Campaigns featuring partner chain stores will target consumers in Boston, Chicago, Maryland, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Texas.

During the first quarter, the company will also feature QR codes on its packaging. Enhancing the consumer experience with bag decals featuring QR codes on packages of its Butter Creams, MountainKing will direct consumers to newly posted “how-to” videos presenting easy-to-follow recipes featuring the popular MountainKing variety.
