Ryan Cherry of Windset Farms® Discusses Global Produce & Floral Show
DELTA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA - Product launches in multiple categories? Tell me more! That was my reaction to Ryan Cherry when he began telling me about the upcoming Global Produce & Floral Show exhibition for Windset Farms®.
“Windset Farms has been diligently preparing some exciting product launches for the International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show in Anaheim, California, complemented by a brand-new booth that highlights the company's growth and rebranded product line,” the Director of Sales told me.
Making its debut in the Fresh Ideas Showcase is YUM YUMS™ Cherry Tomatoes. With vibrant orange and red hues and a flavor reminiscent of a sugary treat, it's a fun and sweet new offering packaged in 1 lb resealable containers.
Additionally, Windset is introducing DELICATO® Romaine Lettuce, a year-round greenhouse-grown lettuce from British Columbia, Canada. Its vibrant green leaves are a high-quality lettuce, providing a delicate crunch and a sweet, subtle finish.
AMORE™ Sweet Tomatoes on the Vine will also be on display. The captivating treasures are handpicked on the vine, delivering an irresistible fresh flavor with every bite. The chef in you will fall in love with their versatility in the kitchen!
“The new Windset booth has been thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for attendees. It serves as a hub for discovering our products, understanding our cultivation methods, and learning about our commitment to delivering the freshest, top-quality produce,” Ryan said. “Throughout the booth, you'll notice the presence of wooden accents, symbolic of our West Coast origins. Prominent large-scale graphics will also be displayed, offering a visual tour of our exceptional products and production.”
As Ryan explained, the Windset team is looking forward to several aspects of the show, including connecting with growers, retailers, and suppliers from across the globe. Seeing the latest industry trends in packaging, technology, and production development for various commodities is always a highlight.
“Just last month, we also introduced a brand refresh; we're eager for everyone to catch a glimpse of our new design, featuring a distinctive ladybug symbolizing our commitment to sustainable farming practices,” Ryan divulged. “This year, we also have an array of exciting sustainable packaging choices, including Eco Paper Packs and mono material, LDPE bags, which use 20 percent less plastic than the previous pack style.”
Of course, one of the team’s ultimate goals will be to connect with customers, both new and existing.
“Windset Farms has always been a reliable, high-quality supplier of greenhouse-grown tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and specialty items. This year, we have some fantastic new products, exciting expansion plans, and a fresh look to discuss,” Ryan concluded. “Combined with our high-tech growing practices and dedicated seed selection processes, Windset is a world leader in high-tech greenhouse production. We can't wait to share more at the show!”
