Super Starr International Showcases Melon Program at Global Produce & Floral Show; Lance Peterson Shares
COLIMA, MEXICO - With its sights set on the start of the new year, Super Starr International is sharing a positive outlook for its cantaloupe, honeydew, and Hami melons. Getting ready to take to the show floor at the International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Global Produce & Floral Show, the supplier will share news of promotable volumes available starting in January.
“We had a great season last year, and based on retailer demand, we’ve planted to ensure an even better season this winter,” said Lance Peterson, President and third-generation farmer of Super Starr International. “Stop by our booth at IFPA later this month, and let’s discuss how we can help you meet your shoppers’ growing papaya and melon needs!”
Super Starr has been farming in the United States and Mexico for three generations, a release detailed. With its expertise, the grower, shipper, and processor provides year-round winter melons and papayas by growing, packing, and shipping in-house.
The supplier controls the quality of its products from planting the initial seed until it’s placed on store shelves. The grower also provides some of the only Fair Trade Certified papayas on the market.
