Ajit Saxena Dishes on New Spill the Greens Episode Featuring IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show Platform and More
ONTARIO, CANADA - There are so many ways to tell a great story: write it in prose, dream it in a painting, create a photo essay, or…share it in a podcast! With today’s bustling demand for convenience, entertainment, and connection driving the way people consume stories, Mucci Farms continues to bring us everything from great insights and announcements to intrigue with its Spill the Greens fresh produce podcast.
As we approach the International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Global Produce & Floral Show (GPFS), Mucci Farms has launched a new episode of its beloved podcast, highlighting the upcoming IFPA event and what the grower will be showcasing in vision and product. The episode’s guests included Stephen Cowan, Director of Retail Sales, and Ken Paglione, Key Account Manager, as well as our friend and host, Ajit Saxena, Public Relations and Digital Marketing Manager.
“We are always trying to find the best way to expand our communication channels, and the Spill the Greens podcast has given us a unique platform in which we can discuss a variety of topics in long form,” Ajit shares with me. “Ken, being a seasoned volunteer with the PMA, has transitioned into a role with the newly formed IFPA. So, in this episode, we discussed the new association and what that experience has been like so far. We follow up the discussion with a breakdown of all things Mucci Farms and what attendees of the GPFS can look forward to from our team.”
So, what are some of those magical Mucci offerings that will be supporting its vision? Ajit shares that under the company’s Colors of Flavor theme, the team will be featuring its Award-Winning Snacking Varieties that are seeing a consistent rise in demand.
“On top of that, there are sustainable packaging options for every item, and we are also introducing an innovation to our Paper Top Seal package,” Ajit says. “It will now be available with a RESEAL option so consumers can store leftover product and get extended shelf-life for future use.”
With the Mucci Farms IFPA platform teased and promising, Ajit spoke to me about the impact of such a podcast and how Spill the Greens continues to diversify the company’s value proposition and status in thought leadership.
“Very often, there are questions we get asked or information in the marketplace that isn’t quite accurate, but difficult to explain in a few sentences. The podcast format allows us to bring in expert guests that can give listeners the entire picture so that we can improve consumer education,” he notes. “We have also taken advantage of the opportunity to showcase our team and have them share personal stories of their growth here at Mucci Farms and go into some detail about the roles they play. We believe this is improving our value proposition internally with our team and externally with our community, job seekers, and our retail partners.”
The response to the podcast has been amazing, and many Mucci Farms team members and new hires have remarked that they learned so much about the company through the podcast.
“Additionally, our retail partners have an access point to share with consumers that want to learn more about controlled environment agriculture. It certainly lends to the wider goals we have of becoming an authority in the fresh produce space with reputable and expert thought leadership,” Ajit concludes.
