MIAMI, FL - Just in time for the perfect holiday menu, Alpine Fresh is unveiling a variety of Brussels sprouts that is new to its program—a festive, purple variety that is. This new addition will help more consumers get excited about adding Brussels sprouts to their baskets and fresh produce spreads.

“Purple Brussels sprouts can be a little sweeter than traditional green Brussels. They make for a perfect holiday side. We are excited to offer our customers something special during the fall and winter months,” said Jorge Bastidas, Procurement Manager.

The new variety is being offered alongside Alpine’s traditional green Brussels sprouts program, according to a press release, but the purple variation features a slightly different flavor profile and an extra pop of color.

Alpine’s purple Brussels sprouts are currently being grown in the U.S. and are ready to make a splash at retail, so load up your produce section and give your customers the gift of the perfect side dish this season.
