Bobalu Strengthens Operations Staff With Appointment of John Knappe; Michael Cleugh Comments
OXNARD, CA - Increased acreage, seasonality, and packaging are sparking momentous achievements for Bobalu, and what better way to ramp up for future growth than by fortifying one’s team? As it continues this impressive growth track, the berry provider has revealed a strategic staff appointment to help streamline its packaging, supplies, and inventory management throughout all growing regions. John Knappe will now be taking on the role of Procurement Manager for Bobalu.
“I am excited to be part of a company with a long legacy of family growers. Our exceptional-quality fruit deserves reliable packaging to preserve it from the farm to the consumer’s table,” said Knappe, who is working from the company’s Monterey, California, sales office.
The Salinas, CA, native has been a member of the produce industry for nine years, bringing heightened expertise across packaging supply and inventory management within the berry category. In this role, Knappe will be working with Michael Cleugh, Vice President of Operations for Bobalu and processing company AgriFrost.
As noted in a recent press release, the berry supplier added this position to keep pace with current and future customer demands as packaging becomes increasingly challenging in terms of pricing and availability, sustainability, and private label needs.
“John has the experience and product knowledge to seamlessly step right into the role and provide support to operations, sales, and management,” commented Cleugh on Knappe’s new appointment.
Congratulations to John Knappe on an exciting new management role, and to Bobalu for 60 years of continuous growth!
