TAMPA, FL - Creating delicious moments is what our industry is all about, but committing to doing better, that’s the ultimate goal. IFCO is putting its accountability on the table with the creation of its IFCO Treasure Crate.

“Last month, we celebrated World Environment Day. But we think our environment should be celebrated and cared for year-round!” the company commented in a release. “That’s why we created the IFCO Treasure Crate—a digital RPC in which we collect your sustainability commitments for a good cause.”

For every sustainability comment made, IFCO will be donating 30 servings of food to the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA). That’s for one comment! IFCO stated the 30 servings is in honor of its founding 30 years ago. As our industry continues to work toward a more sustainable future with environmentally friendly practices, this endeavor couldn’t come at a better time.

IFCO is working toward a goal of 10,000 servings, so let’s get going! Next year on World Environment Day, June 5, the Treasure Crate will be reopened for us to check on the sustainable progress we have made.
