Baloian Farms Provides Production Update
FRESNO, CA - With the heat on the West Coast starting to set in and many key crops coming into season, Baloian Farms recently released a production update sharing vital insights for several of its categories. Among these updates were details of light supplies of green bell peppers and elongated red peppers.
The update explained that Baloian is currently harvesting its elongated red peppers out of Sinaloa, Mexico, and Thermal, California, with its green bell peppers being harvested in the same California region. The grower’s red peppers are expected to see sporadic supplies throughout the rest of the week, and green bell pepper supplies will be strained on retail grade packs. Green bell peppers' supply is anticipated to increase slightly as the week ends as Baloian begins harvesting in Bakersfield, California.
In addition to its red and green peppers, Baloian is reporting stable supplies of its Shishito chili peppers, complementing its harvest of Jalapeños, Serranos, and Tomatillos. The grower also notes stable supplies of flat sweet red onions, zucchini and yellow squash, hard squash, and sweet potatoes. Baloian’s supply of beans is leaning toward light, but that is expected to improve as the week continues.
