PHOENIX, AZ - An executive transition is underway at Sprouts Farmers Market, sparking the appointment of the grocer’s newest Chief. In its latest announcement, the retailer named Curtis Valentine as Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2024.

“I’m honored to serve Sprouts as its new Chief Financial Officer,” said Valentine. “I look forward to continuing to work with our executive leadership team, our Board of Directors, and all of our talented team members in my new role to drive the initiatives that support our strategy. With our strong financial positioning and growth trajectory, I could not be more excited about the future opportunities for all of our stakeholders.”

Valentine currently serves as Sprouts’ Senior Vice President of Finance. The experienced leader will succeed Lawrence “Chip” Molloy, who previously announced his intent to retire at the end of 2023.

As a press release outlined, the newly promoted executive brings over 15 years of financial and retail experience to his new role, having served Sprouts’ financial organization for more than eight years. Before joining the retailer, Valentine served in financial management across multiple business units for seven years at PetSmart.

He also earned a Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
