UNITED KINGDOM - Alleged criminals have once again tried to go head-to-head with fresh produce and lost. Recently, three Portsmouth dockworkers and a lorry driver in the United Kingdom were caught trying to smuggle a massive amount of drugs into the country via a shipment of bananas.

The four men attempted to move £118 million ($136.49 million) worth of cocaine through a port into the U.K. However, they were unaware that the drugs had been discovered and removed en route, reporting from BBC explained.

Totaling 1.5 tons (3,000 lbs), the cocaine was concealed within two pallets amongst 372 pallets of bananas destined for U.K. supermarkets. When the ship docked at Vlissingen in the Netherlands, dogs found the drugs, and authorities removed them and alerted U.K. Border Force officers.
