Cindy Jewell Previews Bobalu's First-Ever Viva Fresh Showcase
OXNARD, CA - It’s always a good time to talk strawberries, and Viva Fresh is no different! Attendees of the upcoming trade show will get a closer look at Bobalu’s strong strawberry portfolio as the supplier takes to the event to exhibit for the first time.
“This is our first time as exhibitors at Viva Fresh and we are excited to be part of this very dynamic show,” shared Cindy Jewell, Vice President of Marketing for Bobalu. “We appreciate the focus on both United States and Mexico-grown produce being featured since we are farming strawberries in both countries. We also look forward to being part of smaller regional shows that really provide us the opportunity to spend more face-to-face time with buyers.”
For this grower, Viva Fresh aligns perfectly with the fresh strawberry season, as Bobalu hopes to be emerging from the volatile weather patterns experienced in its growing regions this winter.
“The show occurs shortly after the official beginning of spring and right before Easter, so we hope to have great news to share regarding the 2023 strawberry season. We have been thankful for our Mexico production over the last few months as our California fields have experienced such adverse weather, and this is the perfect time and audience to reinforce the need for multiple growing regions and support for produce coming in from both the U.S. and Mexico,” Cindy added.
During the event, Bobalu will be highlighting its sustainability progress, including its new recyclable packaging that was launched this month. The grower will also be discussing some of the ongoing challenges it has been facing in terms of supply, increasing farming costs, and forecasting spring and summer programs.
“We are really excited about being part of this show for the first time as a sponsor and an exhibitor,” Cindy concluded. “It is a great opportunity to meet with buyers as planning is well underway for spring and summer strawberry promotions.”
