LOS ANGELES, CA - On your marks. Get set. And Giumarra Companies is off to the races, shipping both organic and conventional Vidalia® onions beginning today, April 20th, as announced by the Vidalia Onion Committee. Promotable volumes of the Nature's Partner-brand Vidalia onions from Giumarra Southeast will be offered in both bulk and bagged options to retailers.

“This year, we will have increased volume available throughout the season,” says Division Manager for Giumarra Southeast Stu Monaghan, according to a recent press release. “Quality is looking excellent, and we have been discussing marketing opportunities with our customers who consider Vidalia’s a cornerstone of their onion category. Consumers ask for them by name.”

Partnering up with G&R Farms from Glennville, Georgia, the company jumps into its third year with its onion program to continue offering its Vidalia and sweet onions to customers, adding organics to sweeten the deal.

“We know that organics are of growing importance to consumers, and we are excited to offer our customers an organic option for this summer favorite,” said Regional Business Development Director Kristina Lorusso.

Making consumers’ year-round love affair with sweet onions an enjoyable reality, Giumarra’s domestic onion season, which load from the Glennville, Georgia, location, complements the company's Peruvian sweet onion offering.
