PureFresh Sales and JP Marketing Win Silver Addy Award for Simmis Product
FRESNO, CA - There’s nothing like hard work being rewarded. PureFresh Sales, alongside its marketing partner, JP Marketing, won a silver Addy in the category 02B - Packaging Campaign for its product, Simmis, a ready-to-eat Fuyu persimmon.
“I came to JP with just an idea for what I wanted Simmis to be,” said Bill Purewal, Founder of PureFresh Sales. “They were able to create product packaging that not only told our story through its branding but appealed directly to our audience. This, coupled with a digital campaign and partnership with Stater Bros. grocery stores, Simmis enjoyed double digit sales growth.”
According to a press release, Simmis are available to consumers for retail from October–December. Purewal knew that in order to get consumers interested in the product, he needed to educate them about the Fuyu variety as well as stimulate product trial.
With the help of JP Marketing, the two companies worked to create a brand that would capture interest with fun and unique packaging during the short persimmon season.
“We wanted to tie in little details on the packaging that were specific to the product such as the stars on the bag, which represent the inside of a persimmon,” said Jackie Nakashian, Leader of JP Marketing’s Ag marketing initiative, Farm to Shelf. “We truly focused on every little detail to make the product shine.”
The silver Addy award included Simmis bags, bins, boxes, and toppers which were featured in grocery stores across the United States.
Congratulations to PureFresh on this win!
