MICHIGAN - Blink, and the holidays will be here. As shoppers go to fill their baskets with fresh produce goodies to make their recipes shine, North Bay Produce is updating buyers and retailers about what they can expect from some of its popular fall categories.

“North Bay’s apple growers have wrapped up the orchard harvest and the cold storage rooms are nearly empty,” says Sarah Quackenbush, Director of Sales. “Controlled atmosphere rooms will begin to open over the next couple of weeks to continue supply. The crop looks very promising, with bright and vibrant colors on all the fruit.”

Right now, North Bay says that the popular HoneyCrisp apple variety is peaking in the 88–100 count sizes, according to a release. With that said, the supplier encourages retailers to take advantage of its North Bay HoneyCrisp bin promotions throughout November to boost sales.

In addition to HoneyCrisp, the grower has Galas, Macintosh, Fujis, Reds, Golds, Empires, Jonathons, Jonagolds, Cortlands, and Rome’s in bags, totes, trays, pouches, bulk, and bins. In other words, North Bay has you covered whatever your apple needs are.

On top of apples, the grower is also celebrating the rise of its Mexican raspberry volume. North Bay has conventional and organic 6 oz top seal and clamshells alongside 12 oz clamshells available.

“As November continues, North Bay’s raspberry production from Mexico is increasing,” adds Quackenbush. “This means we will be providing special offers from Thanksgiving into December.”

Last, but not least, this time of year, North Bay is offering cranberries through its partnership with Bluewater Farms. This year’s crop looks plentiful, with harvest in the Boggs starting next week.
