Ocean Spray Appoints Chief Commercial Officer, USA, and Chief Human Resources Officer
LAKEVILLE, MA - Ocean Spray Cranberries is doubling down on its efforts to fortify its leadership ring, quite literally, as the company recently appointed two new officers to its team. The supplier announced that Monisha Dabek has been named the new Chief Commercial Officer, USA, and Sarah Evans has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer.
"What a unique and exciting opportunity—to bring a team together that will collaboratively and strategically drive growth and prosperity for our family farmer-owners, ensuring the iconic Ocean Spray brand and cooperative continue to be vibrant for the next century," said Dabek.
Dabek joins Ocean Spray from Danone, where she led the Enterprise Strategy and Innovation team, according to a press release. Prior to this role, she held various leadership positions centered around brand marketing, including positions in Plant Based Food & Beverage (Silk, SoDelicious), RTD Coffee (International Delight & Stok), and other portfolio brands. In her new role, Dabek will be responsible for leading the company's sales, marketing, innovation, public relations, and consumer insights.
Sarah Evans joins the cooperative from Terminix, where she recently held the position of Vice President of Human Resources, leading the organization to engage a diverse workforce of over 10,000 employees. Evans also held several other roles at Terminix, including Vice President of Talent, during which she oversaw talent acquisition and management.
"I am delighted to join this incredible team," she said. "Ocean Spray has such a rich history, but it also has an incredibly exciting and bright future. To make sure this cooperative continues to grow and evolve for our family farmer-owners, we will need committed, talented team members to lead the way."
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Evans will lead Ocean Spray's global human resources team, which includes Talent Acquisition, Diversity and Inclusion, HR Business Partnership, Total Rewards, Organizational Development, and Internal and Executive Communications.
"Both Sarah and Monisha bring an incredible breadth of expertise and leadership within their fields, matched only by their energy and passion for the work," said President and CEO Tom Hayes. "They are going to have an immediate, positive impact on our cooperative's growth strategy—for our farmer-owners today and generations to come."
Congratulations to both of these leaders on their recent appointments!
