United Fresh LIVE! Brings Windset Farms® Crescendo® Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes on the Vine, and Baby Cucumbers to the Virtual Stage
DELTA, B.C. - One of my favorite locales to trek to on a fresh produce tradeshow floor is the Windset Farms® exhibitor booth. The team is always inviting, full of innovative vision and conversation, and ready to talk the latest in greenhouse offerings. While the annual United Fresh program has gone virtual in 2020, the company plans to deliver on its consistent promises for quality engagement and ingenuity—no matter the format. In other words, the challenge of a new medium accepted!
“We are excited to bring our Windset Farms program to this unique experience that United Fresh LIVE! has created for the fresh produce industry,” John Newell, COO and Owner of the greenhouse grower, shares. “Our new Crescendo® Peppers will be a hot topic of conversation and include red, orange, and chocolate-colored peppers! They are some of the sweetest peppers around. Add them to salads and main dishes, or try them halved and baked with a cheddar, Asiago, and tomato filling—finished with fresh basil.”
In addition, Windset’s Cameo® Cherry Tomatoes are now available on the vine and picked at full color for optimum flavor and freshness. As John adds, this offering brings a little taste of summer right to the consumer’s basket.
To further elevate Windset’s diverse portfolio, the company will be showcasing its Fresco® Baby Cucumbers which, John swears, couldn’t get any cuter! These seedless baby cucumbers have everything other bigger cucumbers have to offer: nutrients, taste, texture, and freshness. Fresco Baby Cucumbers are ready to wash and toss in the consumer’s favorite salad or they can be tapped for on-the-go snacking.
“To sweeten the deal, strawberries are coming back to Windset Farms and we’ll be sharing some of the details at United Fresh LIVE! Our sales reps will be there to answer all questions buyers may have,” John says. “We are really looking forward to catching up with our industry friends and also connecting with people who don’t always attend shows.”
