Zespri™ Jeanne Wilson Discusses Category Growth and SunGold™ Popularity in Exclusive Shop Talk Interview
ATLANTA, GA - Excitement is palpable surrounding Zespri™ and its brands. With momentum for the category only growing, we spoke straight to the source to learn about how the company is taking advantage.
"... we've been growing the category again—double-digits this year," shared Jeanne Wilson, Head of Marketing, North America. "We continue to be the number-one selling kiwi brand in the category, and that's led by the growth of SunGold™. SunGold is our very unique, innovative golden kiwi and it's juicy; it's delicious. Our consumers love it, and we're just continuing to drive that trial."
Outside of a premium product, the company is seeing success due to its strong partnerships with retailers.
"That's critical for us to really be very visible in-store so that consumers can find us; we're being promoted and really driving that trial," Jeanne added.
The company also continued its campaign, Taste the Obsession.
"What we did this year is bring the KiwiBrothers™ into that story, and we're so excited because they've been traveling the world," Jeanne said with enthusiasm. "They've been in 15 different markets for the last eight years. We're really driving the brand power, awareness, [and] engagement."
