The introduction of the Co-CEO structure is part of a thoughtful, long-term succession plan designed to build on Seald Sweet’s rich heritage while accelerating growth and innovation across the United States. Andrea Montagna will serve alongside current CEO Mayda Sotomayor, combining their expertise to further strengthen the company’s position as a trusted leader in fresh produce.

Andrea brings more than 25 years of international experience in the food and consumer packaged goods industries, with a distinguished track record of driving growth, operational excellence, and transformative leadership. Most recently, as President & CEO of Bonduelle Fresh Americas, he led a major business reset focused on innovation and operational efficiency, earning certifications for sustainability efforts. Prior to that, Andrea served as CEO of Bonduelle Italy, where he dramatically increased employee engagement and achieved double-digit profit growth.

His previous experience spans global leadership roles with companies such as Henkel and Bolton Group. Throughout his career, Andrea has been recognized for his ability to scale businesses, optimize performance, and build high-performing, diverse teams across global markets.

Andrea holds an International Marketing degree from Università Commerciale L. Bocconi, a CEMS Master in International Management from the University of Cologne, and has completed executive programs at EDHEC Business School. Fluent in Italian, English, and German, he brings a truly global perspective to the role.

Andrea will be initially based in Vero Beach, FL, while traveling regularly to key company locations to meet with employees, growers, partners, and customers, fostering strong relationships and a shared vision from day one.
